This week we’ll be hitting the city’s high points, scoping out the best place for viewing a meteor shower before heading to Meteor to get a little meatier with a nighttime glizzy. This spicy ride will trend a little slower than our others, around 15mph rolling pace, with enough mileage to still work up an appetite. 🌭☄️ Your lead is @mn_rando and your sweep is @dhrubywytt Spicy Ride Basics: This ride will depart @behindbarsbicycleshop Shop at 6 p.m. on Thursdays (208 13th Ave. NE) This ride will end at @meteor_mpls (2027 N 2nd St). Please note that rides will have a variety of end points this year! Each week we will put a link to the route in our bio. Rolling pace for this ride is ~15mph. Our spicy rides are no-drop (the lead will wait for the group if separated) and we will have multiple team members available to sweep, but the routes are constructed for easy turnarounds if you end up feeling a little milder that night. Please take a look at the route, suggested bike and target rolling pace before attending. Bring the following: Helmet, lights, lock, water, & cash to tip. All participants must be kind and respectful both on and off the bike. Follow the rules of the road, give space to other trail users, and do not ride in a risky manner. Respect others’ identities, pronouns, personal space, and more. Sexist, racist, transphobic, homophobic, xenophobic, and ableist language/behavior won’t be tolerated.

Meet Ace, one of this year’s trans + nonbinary dirt fund recipients! He has a big year on dirt, having tackled Le Grand Du Nord and more recently, a DAMN relay. They also plan to take on The Filthy 50 for the second year in a row, as well as some fall cross. Read a little more about Ace’s DAMN experience below! “Recently I had the chance to be part of an all trans relay team for the damn, thanks to the dirt fund! It was one of the hardest races I’ve done and I’m proud of myself and my team, and always so hyped to have more trans people riding and racing!” Want to support trans + nonbinary riders in racing dirt? The best way to do that is to purchase a tickets to our August bike packing trip, whether you can attend or not. All funds from that event go directly to our next year’s dirt fund!
