Meet up 5:30 pm, ROLL OUT 5:45 pm. Let's support an immigrant business on Lake St, check out some new-ish reopened bike trails, and enjoy spring! Meet at the north end of Minneapolis Sculpture Garden, near Dunwoody Blvd. The route is an 8-mile loop. We’ll visit Pineda Tacos Plus, one of many Lake St restaurants recovering from the invasion of ICE, so come hungry if you like tacos! We will be on protected bike lanes and trails, with a short stretch of side street. The pace will be about 8-10 miles per hour so we can have conversation, and we will stay together. No one will be left behind. Bring a lock, some taco money (optional), and bike lights. This ride is open to all FTW bike riders! Invite your friends! It is organized by Karla H and Elisha L. 🎵 I Love Tacos - G-Mayne Da Wreck

Grease Rag Bikes Sewing Meetup! Sunday, December 14 from noon-2pm at Sumner Library, Large Meeting Room 3, 611 Van White Memorial Blvd, Minneapolis. *FTW ONLY: open to all femme, transgender, nonbinary, and women riders - anyone who doesn't benefit from cis male privilege. This is a casual meetup and skillshare! We have the skills to help you adjust the sizing of your pants, or start making a “feed bag/stem bag”. (Like the one from Learn MYOG). We have fleece fabric, scrap rain gear, and various other sewing supplies to share. If you missed the winter craft party or you really love the handmade items from the gear swap, we will have those patterns/supplies as well. Do you have a skill you’d like to learn? A skill you’d like to share? Would you like to borrow a sewing machine or other supplies to learn a new skill? What else could we do to make this event work for you? Let us know! Join us for Grease Rag’s 16th Annual Winter Skill Share & Gear Swap!  We’ll learn, connect, and share our collective knowledge on the basics of winter biking, supporting and empowering a community of FTW people to enjoy a safe and fun winter riding season. Date: Saturday, November 1st Time: 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM  Location: Minneapolis Central Library, Pohlad Hall, 300 Nicollet Mall, Minneapolis The afternoon will feature skill shares on the basics of winter biking, in a safer space. This year’s schedule: 10 am Welcome 10:15 am Routing and Safety 11:15 am Winter Bike Maintenance (Lunch break at noon) 12:30 pm What to Wear 1:30 pm Gear Swap *Self-Care will be interactive between sessions and we will provide resources on this topic.  This event is open to all FTW (femme, trans nonbinary, two-spirit and women) riders! If you are a cis man who benefits from cis-male privilege, please respect this space and do not attend this event. This event is NEWBIE and BEGINNER FRIENDLY! Come with questions and leave feeling more confident and ready to take on Minnesota’s most interesting season. Masks are required in the presentation space. The smaller classroom has snacks; if you are not actively eating or drinking, please keep masks on during the event. The library does not require masks. Please stay home if you have a positive test or feel any symptoms. This event is FREE. Join Grease Rag for a full moon ride on 11/5! Perfect way to practice those skills and test out gear from the Winter Skill Share and Gear Swap on 11/1 ❄️ Meet up 6:30 pm at Gold Medal Park, ROLL OUT at 6:40 pm. It’s chilly, so we won’t stand around for long. We will meet at Gold Medal Park, near the intersection of 10th Ave. S and S 2nd St. The route will likely be about 7-8 miles. If most people want to, we can stop at a coffee shop and warm up about ¾ of the way through the ride. We'll then return to our starting point. We will mostly be on bike paths, with a few stretches of low-traffic side streets. The pace will be about 8-10 miles per hour so we can have conversation, and we will stay together. No one will be left behind. This ride is open to all FTW bike riders! Invite your friends! It is organized by Karla H. (she/her).
