First time for us as a part of #givetothemaxdaymn and we need your help! For the past 6 years we’ve been working to try and make cycling more accessible and fun. We host a group ride series that annually sees over 1000 riders attend, we’ve offered 18 scholarships for gravel events that include skill sharing, equipment sharing, lodging, food, and more. W We work with our fellow BSCC members to learn new skills, try new types of riding, and dig in deep. We’re at a point where any additional funds to help support our work would directly impact more access and opportunities for BSCC members and the general public. We’re looking to expand scholarship opportunities for BSCC members and the public which takes costs to cover reg fees, travel, lodging, and food. We’re also looking to purchase bike computers that can load routes, more shared tools, and other items that would lower barriers to entry of the sport for folks. Cranksgiving Minneapolis!  We're late to the recap but we wanted to reflect back on such an awesome day we all had together last weekend. Yall really showed up, in the cold, and helped donate time, energy, lots of ramen and so many food and essential items to benefit and help those in need. We really do have an awesome community in the Minneapolis bike scene both on and off the bike.  We're all struggling in different ways but we all came together to benefit others and that is the most important thing.  Huge shoutout and so much thanks to ALL of YOU, as well as Angry Catfish for allowing us to use their space to host and store donation items as well as their super warm, smokeless fire pits. Shout out to @sanctuarysupplydepot and @grovelandfoodshelf for working with us and accepting all our donations this year.  We also want to recognize the folks that put time and energy into creating this entire event with the planning meetings, outreach, sponsors and volunteers. ❄️WE’RE BACK! ❄️ Our winter ride series starts the last week of November and goes through March! Make sure to dress in layers and bring lights! These rides will be 10-15 miles round trip, starting and ending at Sabo Bridge. No drop as always, we’ll ride a “stay warm” pace and keep everyone together. Last Tuesday of the month! Meet at 6:45 PM and roll at 7:00 PM 🤘

I thought road biking was bad ass until @lostinmpls @_bettynuggs and their team from @midwestdirtlegion took us on a mountain bike adventure through the woods. MTB biking was a challenge. But the clinics that lead us to it prepared us for the turns, stump riding, and adrenaline that comes from riding between narrow trees at 15mph! Lol It was so damn fun. MTB actually forces you to get up out your saddle and be interactive with your bike the whole ride. Your engaging core, obliques is surfing, and legs are feeling the strength in your stance. The best part about MTB is the scenery. You’re deep in the woods and you don’t have the distraction of pulling out your phone because you have to ride safe. I wish I could show you what we saw and give you the feel of what we went through via screen. Next time proper cameras will be there for sure. @lostinmpls thank you and your team so much for coming out with patience, personality, and full of knowledge of this amazing sport. We see your passion and it’s so inspiring what you do for yourself and others. Thank you everyone for showing up!!! We are nothing without community. It’s paramount that we take care of one another. Today we hosted a get together with our friends @bonesawcyclingcollective @mplsmutualaidride for @cranksgiving Minneapolis. And we can’t thank y’all enough for coming out to support friends and folks in need. Some fun stats. 65 cyclists rode the ride today, it was in the 30s, 66 logs burned, 1296 packets of ramen which happens to be 41 miles long! Over $3k in food donated. Yall even filled up @sharonabel Ford Ranger!!! Off to @grovelandfoodshelf Lots of love to y’all for coming out and supporting our community and friends in need. Big thanks to Jay Cai for capturing last week’s #SpookyRide with @fultonbeer! Our guest list was stacked: Wolfman, Dracula, and even Dracula’s son made an appearance. To keep things extra eerie, Mario spun a scary story by the river, Patrick’s bike and backup scooter both gave up the ghost, and lightning flashed across the sky as we rolled in. Thank you to Kaleab for this terrific edit of Saturday’s DJ dance ride! The ride featured DJing from @deveric and @djnatosha, and @perennialcycle got a bonfire roaring in Lilac Park, complete with a s’mores table. It was a truly epic capstone on a wonderful year of rides. The team is already scheming re: next year’s DJ rides.
