With our friends from @joyfulridersclub, a few of our Twin Cities staff members will be doing a Ride-to-the-Ride from Brackett Park to Washburn Fair Oaks Park. \n\nMeet us at Brackett starting at about noon, we're planning to bring some pastries from a local immigrant owned bakery, as well as coffee. \n\nAt 12:30 we'll ride together to the main ride event. \n\nAlex was one of us, could’ve been any of us, so as we mourn, all of us can come together in unity to remember Alex for what he was. A kind and caring soul put on this earth to be the light for others.\n\nAlthough his light has been extinguished by this violent regime, it hasn’t been lost. If anything, those sparks fell and ignited something in us that’s been hiding all along. Minnesota bikers are renowned for biking through sleet, snow, and cold weather.\n \nBut these cyclists are bringing a different version of chill to bicycling: “party pace” rides, accompanied by a live DJ spinning from the back of a bike trailer.\n \nThroughout the spring and summer, hundreds of riders participate in these group rides, complete with pop-up dance parties on the streets of Minneapolis.\n \nIt’s the brainchild of the Joyful Riders Bike Club and local bike shop Perennial Cycle.\n \nWe love when creativity rolls through our neighborhoods, lights up the night, and brings people together in the most unexpected, joyful ways!\n\nVideographer: Ellie Hohulin

We meet every month at @fultonbeer’s taproom — including this Thursday, May 8. 🚴🍻⁠\n⁠\nAll bikes, bodies, and experience levels are celebrated, and no one gets left behind. You can expect smiles, high-fives, and lots of joy along the way.
